Bays & Bows

A bay window and a bow window are similarly shaped, but have a few differentiating qualities. A bay window is often comprised of three windows, the middle window taking precedence as the focal point with smaller, identical windows (known as flankers) to the left and right. Bay windows are also angled out beyond the exterior wall. Bow windows, on the other hand, are curved to form a circular appearance from the outside and are often comprised of four or five windows.
- Bays and bows naturally open a room from the inside, creating the illusion that a room is bigger than it really is.
- Bays and bows can provide additional seating areas, shelving areas and general storage areas, if desired.
- You have endless design options to create your ideal bay or bow window combination, whether that be all fixed windows, a combination of operating double hungs or casements and fixed windows, a range of sizing options, embellishments, the list goes on.
